Wedding guest dresses in Lebanon
Lebanese weddings are formal, late and long, so a guest dress has to photograph well at 9 pm and still be comfortable at 2 am. Here is how we advise customers at Boutique Image, and what we stock for each kind of wedding.
Church or indoor wedding (September to May)
A long gown or midi in satin, crepe or beaded fabric. Jewel tones — emerald, burgundy, navy — and black are always right. Shoulders covered for the ceremony: bring a jacket or choose sleeves.
Beach, garden or summer wedding
A flowing maxi in chiffon or a silk blend, lighter colours, a flat or block heel. Avoid white and ivory.
Engagement (khotbeh)
This is where cocktail and corset dresses shine: a shorter length, more colour, more sparkle.
Mother of the bride or groom
A tailored long gown or an elegant set with a matching jacket. We keep a dedicated rail in both branches and alter in-house.
What not to wear
- White, ivory or champagne — reserved for the bride
- Very casual fabrics
- Anything you cannot dance in
